Extended opening hours for pet emergencies
In the event of a pet emergency, please call 1300 JCU VET (528 838).
Unfortunately, even the healthiest pets can sometimes become injured or ill. Often these incidents occur throughout the evening or on the weekend when most vets are closed. Here at JCU Vet, we’re dedicated to protecting the pets in our community and have increased our emergency opening hours to include Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights.
We work closely with your regular veterinary clinic, so that your pet receives immediate treatment at our hospital, before being transferred back to them for ongoing care. Comprehensive health reports are given to your vet and yourself, in order to ensure your pet is provided with consistent, ongoing care.
We have experienced and compassionate veterinarians and nurses on-site, who are dedicated to providing premium emergency and critical care services. Our hospital is equipped with a comprehensive range of facilities to provide the best care possible.
If you are uncertain about your pet’s health condition, please feel free to call our after-hours team on 1300 JCU VET (528 838). We can provide advice and guidance on whether to consult your regular veterinarian or come into the hospital for immediate treatment.
In addition to regular GP hours, we are open for emergencies during the following times:
- Friday: 5.30pm – 8.00am
- Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: Open 24 hours
- Monday: 5:30pm – 8:00am
- Closed: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights
